National Tuberculosis Control Programme (NTP)

Goal

Prevent further development of TB epidemic, decrease the possibility of public morbidity, mortality and disability. Objectives:

Development of the state support on TB control;
Improvement of all components of DOTS strategy;
Introduction and expansion of DR-TB patients treatment;
Integration of anti-tuberculosis care in PHC;
Provision of preventive measures in TB pestholes;
Coordination of TB control activities in penitentiary sites, army and other structures;
Strengthening public education;
Preparation of TB control specialists at all health care levels;
